Fibre   What is the process when moving house?

Fibre relocations are straightforward if the new address already has a Chorus fibre box. If the new address isn't setup for fibre, our lead time for installs depends on Chorus and varies by location.
  1. Contact us about moving house
  2. We'll schedule your fibre box install OR your connection transfer
  3. Take your router with you when you move

There is currently no cost to transfer/move a fibre connection.

Rural Wireless   What is the process when moving house?

Our lead time for wireless relocations is up to 2 weeks as our technicians need to schedule around weekday availability, weather conditions, and travel schedules.
  1. Contact us about moving house.
    Please give at least 2 weeks notice to ensure we can do the work required before you vacate
  2. We'll use geospatial software to remotely check line-of-sight for your new location
  3. If our line-of-sight check is inconclusive (e.g. property is surrounded by large trees) our local technician will arrange a visit for signal testing
  4. If our line-of-sight check shows your new location is not in our coverage areas or it is clearly obscured, we won't be able to reconnect you
  5. If our line-of-sight check or in-person signal test passes our local technician will arrange moving the equipment to the new location

Rural Wireless   How much will it cost me?

We won't charge you if our technician can't relocate and reconnect you but we will charge you $180 for a successful reconnect. Extra charges may apply for non-standard relocations. We will inform you prior to any work done.
