Rural wireless internet offers an affordable solution in areas where traditional broadband options aren't available. It works by transmitting signals from fixed wireless towers to nearby properties within range. With speeds fast enough for everyday online tasks and smooth streaming, our service connects you where you need it most with support for multiple devices.
We operate our own rural wireless networks in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and South Westland. As a line-of-sight service, only homes within our coverage area, typically those with a clear view of one of our towers, are eligible for connection. In Tolaga Bay, we provide services through the Gisborne.net network.

Get your install sorted

Standard installation is now free, including the technician visit, antenna, and cabling. You only pay for your router! See our installation FAQs for more details on getting set up.

Please allow a 2-week lead time for installs, as our technicians need to schedule around weekday availability, weather conditions, and travel logistics.

If your install requires any extra work beyond the standard setup, we'll confirm any additional costs in advance.

For a smoother install, we recommend using a surge protector multi-plug with sufficient cable length to ensure safe and flexible placement of your equipment. This helps protect your router from power surges and ensures an optimal setup.

Speed expectations 1

Advertised figures represent potential maximum speeds achievable under ideal conditions outside peak usage times. Actual performance may vary due to environmental factors such as weather, line-of-sight and your distance to the nearest tower, interference, how many people are using that same tower simultaneously and potentially your internal home wiring.

The Vilo 6 Mesh Router offers a sleek, compact Wi-Fi solution. With the power of WiFi 6, Vilo 6 can reach fast speeds and covers up to 185 square metres per unit, just add more units to eliminate Wi-Fi dead zones throughout your home. The router includes 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports for enhanced performance across multiple devices.

Our routers are only covered by 12 month manufacturers warranty in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Pricing info

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include GST. Amounts last updated 17 July 2024 and are subject to change. We currently accept payments via bank deposit/direct credit only.

Power outages and emergency calls

If the power goes out, your broadband connection will stop working. This also affects any equipment that depends on that connection, like medical alarms or cordless phones, even if they have a backup battery. It’s important to have another way to reach 111 in an emergency, for example a charged mobile phone.
