Short-Term Rural Wireless

We provide a short-term rural wireless internet service for holiday home and batches. Here’s what you need to know.

How does billing work for a short-term rural wireless service?

Our rural wireless internet service is billed in full monthly blocks only.

We do not offer partial-month billing or prorated charges. If your service is active at any time during a monthly billing block, the full month is charged.

Can I get internet for just part of a month?

No. All services are billed in complete monthly blocks. Even if you only use the service for part of the month, the full monthly charge applies.

Can I pause my internet when I’m not using the property?

Yes. To pause your service, email billing@wificonnect.co.nz.

Your service will be paused from the end of the current monthly billing block. We do not pause services mid-month.

Your service will remain paused until you email us to request reconnection. It is your responsibility to request reconnection as it does not automatically restart.

How do I reconnect my service when I return?

To reconnect, simply email billing@wificonnect.co.nz and tell us:

  • That you’d like the service reconnected
  • The number of monthly blocks you require

We will reconnect your internet service within two (2) business days of receiving your written request. We recommend emailing ahead of the time you need the service active.

Your service will remain active for the number of monthly blocks you request. At the end of that period, it will automatically disconnect unless you send another reconnection request.

Can I disconnect my service at any time?

Yes. You can request disconnection at any time. However, charges will still apply for the entire monthly billing block in which the service was active.
